It’s been said that those who teach can do just about anything. That is if you can engage a roomful of kids --- and help them learn in the process --- who’s to say you can’t take over Bucks County?

Please join the Academic Oversight Committee at this year’s Bristol Fall Classic on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at the Bristol Borough Public Works Building at  92 Maple Beach Rd, Bristol, PA 19007. Your support of recognizing the accomplishments of Commissioner Robert J. Harvie, Jr., as our Person of the Year is appreciated.

Harvie is a native Bristolian and a 1989 graduate of Bristol High School. He will be recognized for his accomplishments in the public sector, including teaching at the Bucks County Technical High School for nearly three decades before stepping into the spotlight overseeing the management and financial operations of Bucks County.

The evening begins at 6 pm with catering services provided by the King George II Inn.

Between 2020 and 2024 the AOC has awarded grants to Bristol Borough’s public and parochial schools totaling $32,500. These grants were a necessity because of the chaos in classrooms triggered by COVID. The grants awarded focused on STEM education and mental health services for students and families. This year’s fundraising goal is $25,000.

You can purchase tickets online at
www.bblearningcenters.com or by visiting the Bristol Borough Tax Office or Mignoni Jewelers during normal business hours.
