March 21st – Snow Storm & Restrictions In Effect

Borough Hall will be closing at 11am on March 21st.  There will be no parking on Mill St and the 100 block of Radcliffe St in Bristol Borough from Noon on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 to noon Thursday, March 22, 2018 for snow removal by Borough Public Works.  This is by Order of Bristol Borough Police Department.

All Vehicles will be Towed.

National Weather Service for the upcoming Nor’easter coastal storm Tuesday thru Thursday Mar 20th-22nd. Predicting 6 to 12 inches of snow for our region. Mixed precipitation Tuesday and Tuesday evening becoming all snow late Tuesday night and Wednesday. A heavy wet snow could result in downed trees and power lines, along with power outages. Travel will be difficult, if not impossible, especially on Wednesday.

Secure trash cans and any outdoor valuables as this storm has 15 to 25 mph Northeast winds with 30 to 40 mph gusts Tuesday night, becoming 10 to 20 mph Northwest winds Wednesday afternoon. Shovel around fire hydrants to make them accessible for Fire Dept. use if a fire should occur. Check on elderly neighbors well being periodically during the storm.
Minor river flooding is possible in the Bristol area. Mill Street Parking Lot likely to flood with the Northeast wind, be prepared to move your vehicles to higher ground especially on high tide.
